Music Therapy

Music has been living up to its reputation in promoting motor, learning and social skills development. When exposed to children at a young age, it allows them to explore their emotions through fun and engaging musical activities such as singing, playing instruments, song writing, dance/movement, and games.

We provide one on one and group music therapy sessions for children as young as 3 years old. Sessions are tailored to each person’s specific needs with goals set by the music therapist in collaboration with parents. Parents are highly encouraged to stay and engage in the sessions as it helps the child stay focused and you’ll be able to witness and celebrate little milestones achieved by the child during the sessions.

Music therapy is a research-based practice and profession in which music is used to actively support people as they strive to improve their health, function and wellbeing.

Music therapy is the intentional use of music by a university trained professional who is registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association Inc. Registered music therapists draw on an extensive body of research and are bound by a code of ethics that informs their practice.
